There’s something exciting about watching a new place come to life before the doors officially open. The energy, the curiosity, the first reactions, the “wait, where is this?” messages. It all builds a moment.
And that’s exactly what happened with Neighborin Zurich.
Ahead of their friends and family opening, we supported the launch with a simple but effective teaser strategy: six teaser posts leading up to the soft opening. Each post revealed a small piece of the Neighbor Zurich world, from the opening hours sign and branded croissant bag to the “coming soon” announcement, coffee visuals, beans, packaging, and the dark, warm, minimal aesthetic that defines the brand.
No overposting. No aggressive content push. Just intentional, well-timed content designed to spark curiosity and get people talking.
And it worked.
Neighbor officially opened on 14.04, and in this short amount of time, the account has already grown to over 1200 followers.
A Soft Opening With Loud Results
While we did not organise the event, our role at the friends and family opening was to capture the atmosphere, the people, the details, and the feeling of being there. And honestly, those are often the moments that matter most. The first guests walking in. The first plates being served. The first drinks being raised. The first “you need to check this place out” conversations starting naturally.
That kind of content cannot be forced. It has to be captured in the right moment, with the right eye, and shared in a way that feels authentic.
That was the goal for Neighbor.
The KPI We are Really Excited About
Neighbor has gained 650+ followers only two days after the soft launch and while the grand opening is still TBD, Neighbor has already passed 1,200 followers to this day, meaning the account didn’t just reach our original goal of 1,000 followers before grand opening day, it exceeded it early. And the growth was fast. From the very first teaser post on 31 March until the day after the friends and family opening, the account saw an 842% growth rate, reaching 28,228 views on 15 April.
For a coffee place that only recently opened on 14.04, that’s a very strong signal. The curiosity is there, the community is forming, and the momentum is clearly moving faster than planned.
And here is the part we love most:
We achieved this while posting only two times per week.
Not daily. Not aggressively. Not just posting for the sake of posting. Just a clear strategy, strong visuals, and content that made people curious enough to follow along.
What This Launch Shows
The Neighbor launch is a great reminder that good content does not always mean more content.
Sometimes, it means the right content at the right moment.
For a coffee place, especially one that wants to become part of people’s routines, the pre-launch phase matters. It gives future guests a first impression before they ever step inside. It creates curiosity. It starts building familiarity. And with Neighbor, that curiosity turned into measurable growth.
From First Teasers to First Regulars
Six teaser posts. One friends and family opening. Over 1200 followers. A grand opening still to come.
Neighbor Zurich is already building a community before its next big launch moment, and that’s exactly the kind of momentum we love to see.
Because when a coffee place starts getting people excited before the grand opening, it means something is working.
